Via Chester French…

Chester French is awesome. Recently they took to their blog to ask their fans what song should they cover among “Birthday Sex” by Jeremih, “Ringleader Man” by T-Pain, “She Wolf” by Shakira, or “Party in the USA” by Miley Cyrus.

“She Wolf” won the fan vote.

Armed with an MPC and a guitar, as well as a wolf-man mask, Chester French makes good on their fan request and cover “She Wolf” while on the road. The result is doperad.

There’s also a vote on what next week’s cover should be… be sure to vote. My personal pick is “Calle Ocho” just because I’m entirely curious as to how it will sound.

Chester French I came across Chester French while browsing around okayplayer .  Since I am a total whore for Pharrell and his projects, I decided to give these dudes a listen and, I must say, it’s pretty good.  I mean, it’s not Kenna but until Kenna releases some new shit, I think Chester French will fill in nicely.

Chester French is an American pop music band consisting of two members, Maxwell Drummey and D.A. Wallach. They met as college students at Harvard University, naming their band after sculptor Daniel Chester French, who designed the statue at the Lincoln Memorial, the John Harvard statue, as well as the Minuteman statue at the Lexington/Concord battlegrounds in Massachusetts.[1]Kanye West originally offered a record contract deal with the band, but they rejected it in favor of a competing offer from Pharrell’s Star Trak Entertainment imprint, a subsidiary of Interscope Records and Universal Music Group.[2] Their song, She Loves Everybody, was featured in the closing credits of the HBO television show Entourage.[3]

Be sure to peep the Steve Aoki remix… that shit is FIRE.
