The Genesis
December 22nd, 2008I remember badly wanting a Sega Genesis as a kid. I wanted to be the one that owned the next thing on the market before anyone else in my circle of friends (my cousin Win had the NES before me) so I bugged the shit out my Dad to cop me one around my birthday. After stating my case and pledging to keep my grades up, he finally caved in.
I got a Sega Genesis along with Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Taz-Mania for my birthday.
Maybe that’s why this post from the good folks at Mad Decent brought such a smile to my face. It reminds me of my more innocent times begging for the latest and greatest in video game consoles and what not.
Here, we get a look at a similar childhood wanting a Sega Genesis badly for X-mas.
My Brother is back home where I grew up for Xmas already(Shout out to the Port Alberni Massive!!!!). Usually when we go back home we find old records we forgot about or old home videos but this time Erik found my old Xmas Lists, he scanned them and sent them my way.
