Timbaland laces us with a familiar-yet-dope-sounding beat, and he’s joined by Miss Keri Babaaaay and Jigga on this one. I agree with TheRapUp, this is a nice jiggy track.

Timbaland – Rumors Ft Jay-Z and Keri Hilson“Love On A Two-Way Street” is the sample behind Jay-Z’s current banger “Empire State of Mind”, released in March 1970. Prior to the song’s release, The Moments enjoyed moderate success with songs like “Not on the Outside” and “My Confession of Love”. Then came “Love On A Two-Way Street”, which shot the group to #1 on the Billboard R&B chart and remained there for 5 weeks straight. The song would later be covered by Stacy Lattishaw, and if you’ve ever listened to the Art Laboe Sunday show you KNOW this song.
Anyway, enjoy the oldie…

It looks like this isn’t going to be on Blueprint 3, but I think it should be. I have serious doubts that Jay-Z is going to blow up the dubstep sound on a commercial level, but I think it’s a cool song anyway. Eve outdoes him though on her new track. Just sayin.

I came across a nice and throrough post over at The Smoking Section which showcases a bunch of songs where Jigga and Kanye both have verses and compares them to see who won. Not sure if I agree with their final score, but it’s definitely worth a read.
Go here to stream/download the songs and come up with your own tally.

Jay-Z vs Kanye West Head to Head BattlesLooks like they’re releasing a premium version of the DJ Hero game – DJ Hero: Renegade Edition. It’s said to feature exclusive CDs from Jay-Z and Eminem. To sweeten the deal, they’re also throwing in a special edition turntable-controller and a stand in the bundle.
Will this make me a better DJ? Probably not. But I can guarantee I’ll have a crap-load of fun playing it. Shoot… I’m already anxiously awaiting the arrivel of The Beatles: Rock Band.
Check out more photos and details from Joystiq.

First of all, DOWNLOAD THE NEW JAY-Z TRACK HERE (via discobelle, via Leak Jones)…it’s from the upcoming movie Notorious, and it samples Santogold…kind of a familiar formula here, but I like it anyway.
Also, for your listening pleasure, check out this Jay-Z mixtape done-up by DJ Still Life, a really good dj that I met through the UCSD/San Diego djing and social scene…he consistently puts out solid mixes, and this mixtape that he put out remains on rotation in my iPhone. This particular mix served as an inspiration for me to do the mixtape that I’m dropping Wednesday…STAY TUNED.
